Georgia tenor Adam Kirkpatrick wins the SE Regional NATS Artist Award

The Georgia District NATSAA winner tenor Adam Kirkpatrick competed against Andrea Marie Price, the Georgia District co-winner, Anna Hersey representing Florida, and Jennifer Bryant representing Alabama at the Southeastern Region NATSAA competition on March 25, 2010, at Stetson University in Deland, FL. He was chosen as our Regional NATSAA winner and will represent the Southeastern Region at the national conference in Salt Lake City in July. Sopranos Jennifer Bryant as First Alternate and Anna Hersey as Second Alternate will compete if for any reason Adam cannot. Special thanks go to our NATSAA judges: Roy Delp, William Vessels, and Linda Banister.

Jillian Pashke wins the Cheryl Boyd Waddell Award

The Georgia NATS 2009 Fall Workshop was held at Shorter College in Rome, Georgia, November 6-7, 2009.  Penelope Bitzas of Boston University offered excellent guidance to 23 students from all over Georgia.  Mezzo Jillian Pashke, a student of Dr. Allen Henderson at Georgia Southern University, received the Cheryl Boyd-Waddell Award.

Revision of National NATS Guidelines for Student Auditions

In 2007 a committee of NATS members surveyed the policies of chapters, districts, and regions to assess current trends in student auditions.  Over the next two years the Student Audition Guidelines committees worked on a revision of the national guidelines.  A link to the new Guidelines is at the bottom of the Student Auditions page found at

The Georgia Executive Committee will review the National Guidelines to determine if any changes will be needed in the Georgia Guidelines.  The Georgia Guidelines are found on this site's Documents page.
